About ASIS - Chennai
Yasmin’s Profile
Hi everyone,

I am Yasmin. I have completed my Masters in Economics and Bachelor of education degree. I have 12 years of teaching experience in international schools in Bangkok, Jakarta and India mentoring multiple grade levels. I taught for 7 years in SIS, South Jakarta, which made me an expert in the Singaporean curriculum and SIS Way of teaching and learning. While I was teaching there, I was called one of the star teachers, which led me to teach here in ASIS, Chennai.

My passion is to provide a happy, caring and stimulating environment where children can understand their inherent potential to enhance their skills to the global society. I believe in nurturing students and providing them with a physically and emotionally safe place. I truly believe in holistic education and a personalised approach in introducing differentiated learning methods as each child is unique. This helps the students to develop not only academically, but also socially and emotionally by guiding them to face the challenges to become risk-taker, critical thinkers and lifelong learners.

“Rashmi’s Profile”
Hi everyone,

Hi, I am Ms Rashmi. I love children and this compelled me to become a teacher. After I completed my professional degree, I decided to pursue my dream to become a teacher by training as a Montessori and phonics trainer. I’m so happy that my dream to become a kindergarten teacher has come true in ASIS.

Children are imaginative and creative. As a teacher, my job is to inspire them to translate their imagination into reality. I also believe that every child should be given the chance to learn at his own pace.

I utilise the power of play-based and work-based methods in my teaching style. I am motivated when I see the transformation that happens to my students in the classroom.

Free the child’s potential, and you will transform him into the world. " - Maria Montessori
Ms Monet’s Profile

Hi! I'm Ramonita Sabalboro. Family and friends call me Monet. I was born and raised in Manila, Philippines. I'm a single parent to two sons, both residing in the Philippines. I took up Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education majoring in Mathematics at Centro Escolar University. Likewise, I earned units in Masteral Arts in Teaching. My work experience includes 7 years in Preschool at The Little Farm House as a Kindergarten teacher; 8 years in Primary at Singapore International School and Mentari International School, Jakarta as a Maths, English and Science teacher; and 4 years in Preschool at Singapore International School as a Kindergarten teacher and Head of Department.

People who know me well would most probably describe me as someone who puts passion and commitment to any task/endeavour given to me. I believe I'm a straightforward and sincere person. My hands are always busy, either doing arts, crafts and learning materials for my pupils, cooking healthy dishes and other household chores. There are times when I prefer to work alone, not because I don't believe in collaboration and teamwork, but simply because I tend to accomplish more in solitude. I may look intimidating but truth be told, I'm a sentimental and loving person.

My extensive years in teaching has allowed me to grow professionally. To me, there is nothing more fulfilling than seeing my pupils gain skills and knowledge that would prepare them for life. I have taught in various levels but the preschool levels would always hold a special place in my heart. As the kids look up to their teachers as role models, I continuously make a conscious effort to be the BEST version of myself. I owe this to the children entrusted to my care and guidance.
