“Where serious learning is seriously fun”
Research has shown that a child learns at an astounding rate from birth to age six. The fact is, the first years of a child’s life are crucial. What happens in early childhood can have a lifetime impact.
“The first years of a child’s life are important. What happens in early childhood can matter for a lifetime.”
Since 1996, Preschoolers from the SIS Group of Schools have moved up to their primary schools and have shown commendable traits of confidence, independence and a thirst for learning.
ASIS uses as its core, the Nurturing Early Learners (NEL) Framework. The NEL Framework developed by local and international researchers and is extensively used by the Singapore Ministry of Education for its Pre-schools.
Singapore students are constantly amongst the best in the world. In the Programme of International Student Assessment (Pisa) tests conducted by OECD (Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development), Singapore almost always tops the list.
“Our inquiry-based program focuses on collaborating with young minds to be curious, think critically and creatively, solve problems and develop a passion and responsibility for their learning”
In addition, ASIS will be pioneering a learner-development centered approach to all programmes whereby learners not only ‘learn to learn’ but also learn to develop themselves as learners.
The ASIS Pre-school sees the individual child as the heart and centre of all our activities. Our low learner-to-teacher ratio allows our learners to receive individualized attention. We understand that every aspect of the child’s learning process must be recognized and nurtured.
We are a network of schools. ASIS educators will collaborate with our partner schools regularly to share experiences and ideas, as well as attend our professional development sessions.
We believe passionately in a holistic approach. Our inquiry-based program focuses on working with young minds to be curious, think critically and creatively, solve problems and develop a passion and responsibility for their own learning and development as learners.
ASIS Pre-schoolers do not learn through individual subjects. Our learners learn to draw knowledge and experience from one area of learning to another. They are encouraged to ask questions all the time and to link ideas, experiences, and thoughts in their learning journey
We immerse our young learners in a language-rich, multi-lingual environment. Our children will be multi-lingual.
Our children are exposed to different local and international cultures and therefore we emphasize on coaching learners in defining and adopting good morals, values and respect.
